this is what they said what it was about when the video came out. the drunk friend in the video is also justin's best friend in real life and was dating elisha cuthbert in rl. they got engaged. she cheated on him. justin was pretty disgusted, so he wrote this song. only they know if it's true :)

I Honestly think this one is about Britney too. Cry Me A River was obviously about her,it being right after their breakup(&the lyrics) but this one was years after, so it's kind of sad he's still stuck on it. Also the story line itself is what's said to be how their relationship ended I love them both,but the fact that he's publicly outed their relationship numerous times makes me sympathetic towards her. I'll always be waiting for them to get back together- I think that's what screwed her up.
